【摘要】:Thepurposeofthispracticeistooutlineaprocedureforthein-lineeddy-currentexaminationofhotCWpipeforthedetectionofmajorimperfectionsandrepetitivediscontinuities.Amajoradvantageofin-lineeddy-currentexaminationofferromagneticCWpipeabovetheCurietemperatureliesintheenhancedsignal-to-noiseratioanddepthofpenetrationobtainedwithouttheuseofmagneticsaturation.Theeddy-currentmethodiscapableofdetectingandlocatingweldimperfectionscommonlyreferredtoasopenwelds,cavewelds,blackspots(weldinclusions),andpartialwelds(incompletepenetration).Inaddition,itwilldetectpipe-wallimperfectionssuchasslivers,laps,andringwelds(endwelds).Therelativeseverityoftheimperfectionsmaybeindicatedbyeddy-currentsignalamplitudeorphase,orboth.Analarmlevelmaybeselectedthatutilizessignalamplitudeorphase,orboth,forautomaticrecordingormarking,orboth.Becausetheresponsesfromnaturaldiscontinuitiesmayvarysignificantlyfromthosefromartificialdiscontinuities,caremustbeexercisedinestablishingtestsensitivityandacceptancecriteria.1.1Thispracticecoversaprocedureforin-line,eddy-currentexaminationofcontinuouslywelded(CW)ferromagneticpipeandtubingattemperaturesabovetheCurietemperature(approximately1400F[760C],wherethepipeissubstantiallynonmagneticoraustenitic.1.2Thispracticeisintendedforuseontubularproductshavingnominaldiametersof1/2in.[12.7mm]to4in.[101.6mm].Thesetechniquesmaybeusedforlarger-orsmaller-diameterpipeandtubingasspecifiedbytheusingparties.1.3Thispracticeisspecificallyapplicabletoeddy-currentexaminationusingencirclingcoils,orprobecoils.1.4Thispracticedoesnotestablishacceptancecriteria.Theymustbeestablishedbytheusingparties.1.5Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.TheSIunitsinbracketsmaybeapproximate.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressthesafetyproblemsassociatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.

Scope:This Aerospace Recommended Practice provides design and installation criteria intended to enhance overall safety by mitigating exposure of cabin crew and passengers to risks from: a. Routine use of galley systems.b. Galley components or equipment becoming dislodged under routine or abnormal operating conditions and under survivable crash or ditching conditions.c. Malfunctions of, or defects in, a galley system or associated galley equipment.NOTE: It is not the purpose of this Aerospace Recommended Practice to specify the specific designs or design methods to be followed in the accomplishment of stated objectives.
